Using a mixed methods approach (questionnaire N=100, interview n=6, observation), the results showed that the uniqueness of Brand's geodiversity lies in the volcanic phenomena of the Toba Caldera such as Sipiso-piso Waterfall (120 m) and Bukit Gajah Bobok which are rich in potassium and magnesium minerals. MANOVA's analysis showed a significant difference in the perception of tourists and the public towards geological uniqueness (p<0.05). Ecologically, volcanic soils with low total dissolved solids (TDS) (<150 ppm) support organic agriculture, although they are threatened by land conversion (25% reduced agricultural land) and plastic waste (volume decreased by 30% through the waste bank program). Local cultures such as Ulos weaving and the Erpangir Ku Lau ritual are identity differentiators, but their marketing is limited locally without certification. The integration of all three aspects requires technological innovation (augmented reality for geological interpretation), diversification of cultural products (craft training), and data-driven spatial planning policies. Strategic recommendations include strengthening community participation through Pokdarwis, a circular economy through recycling waste into handicrafts, and multi-stakeholder collaboration to make Brand a model of sustainable geotourism in Indonesia. This research emphasizes that the synergy of technological innovation, active community participation, and holistic policies are the keys to the success of geotourism development.
2025-06-30T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Koridorhttps://idjpcr.usu.ac.id/koridor/article/view/20333Study Of Accessible Public Space For The Elderly Case Study Of Simpang Lima, Semarang City2025-04-17T17:01:10+07:00Dini Silvia Anggrainidinisilvianggraini@gmail.comMuhammad Azmy IkhsaniMuhammad.ikhsani@unsoed.ac.idHusnul MasyitohHusnulmasyitoh@gmail.comHilba Yoga Pratamahilbayoga@gmail.com
The development of an area cannot be separated from the existence of public space, Public Space such as Simpang Lima is one of the important aspects in city development so that it can be utilized by the community, public space must be usable by all levels of society, including elderly users. Currently, the city of Semarang has experienced an increase in the number of elderly people since 2017 and continues to increase, special attention to elderly users is important so that this increase does not become a new problem in urban areas. One of the government's efforts to pay attention to the elderly is by creating public spaces. Public spaces in the city of Semarang, such as Simpang Lima, are still popular with the elderly. Many elderly people are found in the morning with sports activities, but according to the elderly, the facilities at Simpang Lima have not been able to meet their needs. So that it raises several problems in the field, these problems are the basis of the study, namely What is the accessibility of the elderly in the Simpang Lima public space? What are the obstacles to accessibility for the elderly in using public space facilities at Simpang Lima? The research method uses a qualitative approach by conducting observations, interviews, and literature reviews after which it is analyzed using accessibility requirements. The activities of the elderly in reaching and using public spaces are in accordance with the accessibility that has been provided, this is based on convenience and safety. Accessibility barriers experienced by the elderly at Simpang Lima are the lack of supporting accessibility facilities such as comfortable seating, information boards and directions, and toilets complete with facilities for the elderly.
2025-06-30T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Koridorhttps://idjpcr.usu.ac.id/koridor/article/view/20264Evaluation Study of Kota Lama Semarang Revitalization2025-04-17T15:04:04+07:00Muhammad Azmy Ikhsanimuhammad.ikhsani@unsoed.ac.idSafety Husna Pangestikasafety.pangestika@unsoed.ac.idArtanti Kusuma Ayuartanti.ayu@unsoed.ac.id
Kota Lama Semarang area is one of the icons of Semarang City and a tourist destination with its own charm in which there are various old buildings from the Colonial era. The Kota Lama Semarang area has been revitalized since 2017 which aims to maintain and preserve existing buildings and improve the quality of the area. The Kota Lama Semarang area has now become a leading tourist destination in Semarang City after revitalization, but after revitalization there are still some problems left behind where it becomes a record of the success of revitalization. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the implementation of revitalization in the Kota Lama Semarang to show that the implementation of revitalization has not been fully successful. This research uses qualitative approach with descriptive method. In general, the revitalization carried out in the Kota Lama Semarang Area has been successfully carried out and has a good impact from the social and tourism aspects which are reviewed from 4 points namely Urban Live Quality, Sustainable Urban Form and Structure, Capital / Asset Improvement, and Social and Economic. However, from the review there are still shortcomings, namely from the cultural and economic aspects where the revitalization carried out has less impact, especially for the community around the Kota Lama Semarang.
2025-06-30T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Koridorhttps://idjpcr.usu.ac.id/koridor/article/view/20251The Landscape of Contemporary Architectural Practices in Indonesia2025-05-09T15:47:49+07:00Fath Nadiztinadizti@gmail.comHimasari Hanannadizti@itb.ac.id

Indonesia's contemporary architecture has developed in response to globalisation, urbanisation, and modernisation, striking a balance between regional customs and global tendencies. This research analyses projects displayed at the Indonesian Architects Week (IAW) 2024 exhibition in order to investigate the state of contemporary architecture in Indonesia. Key architectural trends in residential, office, hospitality, commercial, government, and public areas are highlighted by the research, which groups these projects according to their function and geographic distribution. The results show that private-sector demands drive contemporary architectural practices, with Java and Bali & Nusa Tenggara having the highest concentration of projects, while Sumatra, Sulawesi, Kalimantan, and Papua & Maluku continue to be under-represented. A trend towards mixed-use architectural designs is also noted in the report, as demonstrated by buildings that combine several uses, including office-commercial, government-public, and residential-office hybrids. Despite these revelations, the study's limitations include its only dependence on exhibition data and the absence of primary research methods like stakeholder participation, field observations, or interviews. It does not, therefore, offer a completely generalisable depiction of modern architectural techniques in Indonesia. However, it provides a useful foundation for further research into the innovations, problems, and trends influencing Indonesia's built environment. To gain a more thorough grasp of how Indonesian contemporary architecture is still changing within regional, cultural, and economic contexts, future research should apply direct architectural analysis and larger datasets.

2025-06-30T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Koridorhttps://idjpcr.usu.ac.id/koridor/article/view/19897Tectonics, Structure And Floor Plan Of Taneyan Lanjhang Traditional Houses In Modern Madura Residential Houses 2025-04-17T15:48:39+07:00Jessica Aprilia Poernamajessica.aprilia@student.ukdc.ac.idCelline Andrianiceline.andriani@student.ukdc.ac.idFransiska Maria Reginafransiska.regina@student.ukdc.ac.idPrabani Setio Hastorahmantostefanprabani@ukdc.ac.idHeristama Putraheristama.putra@ukdc.ac.idLucia Ina Trisyantilucia.ina@ukdc.ac.id
Traditional houses are an important cultural asset in society.
